Happy Holidays from Long Island, NY. My family and I enjoy your blog. My sons are 15 and 17 and are both studying Italian in high school. My oldest is taking College Italian in high school. We are a quarter Italian, but enjoy the culture and language. We wish we could visit Italy some day. The closest we get to Italy is little Italy in NYC.
Buon Natale and Anno Nuovo!

Ciao Shelley,
Wow, I can not believe it. I happened across your site this evening and it was so funny. I was surfing about Low Carb in Italy, why you ask… because I am living in Italy.
I am actually Canadian, but I live in Milano Italy… and the funniest thing of all is… My name is… Shelley… yes, that’s right, and it is spelled exactally like yours… wow, how funny is that!! I am also an English Teacher here… Feels strange, like I am meeting myself.. ha ha ha.
Wishing you all the best…
Hugs & Kisses
Love
Shelley

I have been enjoying your blog for the past week or two, laughing out loud quite often. My co-workers aren’t amused by my frequent bursts of inappropriate laughter.
I am marrying an Italian, myself, except he will be moving here for a short time before we move back. He has been encouraging me to write to you for a few days now…but then I saw that you were from outside Seattle and I just had to! I currently live in Seattle (have for the past 20 years) and I am actually coming to Rome and staying in Trastevere in less than a month. We were hoping you could recommend something really cool for us to do?
Thanks and nice to “meet” you!
Angela
